ENSAD Salle Noire – February 2013
During the second year, the EnsadLab THEATRA team organized a workshop in the Salle Noire of ENSAD School on the staging of Euripides’ Bacchae.
The object of the workshop remains the same: the relation between the ideas of the text of the tragedy and the meaning of the space of the representation. This research is organized along two basic axes:
- Research on space categories of the text.
- Research on the analysis and rendering of the sense in the structure of the scenic space, definition and experimentation on this structure.
The workshop was preceded by a day of preparatory conferences:
- Introduction and analysis of Euripides’ Bacchae, Ajda Latifses, ENS
- Analysis of the space and the staging of Euripides’ Bacchae by A.Volanakis, Theatre director, Professor at the University of Nafplio and the University of Patras
